ROLAP accesses the data directly from relational database while taking more time in the data processing. ROLAP has the capability of processing larger amounts of business queries while MOLAP can effectively work with around ten dimensions. MOLAP is more effective with smaller database sizes which can be up to 5 GB in size but ROLAP support much bigger database sizes.

OLAP is very useful and functional irrespective of its types in terms of methodology and is a greatly helpful software tool which analyzes the raw data from any sizes of databases and provides quick results helping the business houses.
